When you drive your vehicle, it is inevitable to get dents. These can occur for a variety of reasons such as hailstorms, door dings, and minor collisions. While some dents are minor and can be removed without affecting the appearance of your vehicle. However, some dents are major, and here at the Nearby Collision Centre, our team of expert mechanics does a great job in dent repair and removal, as they are very skilled and have years of experience. They repair dents and remove them without leaving a mark.

Mainly, there are two ways through which our team can repair and remove dents:

Paintless Dent Repair (PDR):

In this process, we repair dents without affecting the paint of the vehicle. The technicians in this method use a variety of tools and techniques to access the back of the dent and push it from the inside. This method repairs the dents without affecting the paint of your vehicle. Even though this is a less expensive way of repairing dents it is recommended only to repair minor dents.

Conventional Dent Repair:

This method is a more invasive one, but it is used to repair more major and deeper dents. In this method, the technicians sand down the paint of the vehicle around the dent and then fill the dented area with body filler. After which the entire area is repainted. Sometimes this is the only method that can be used for dent repair and removal even if it is more time-consuming and more expensive.

Process of Repairing
  • Inspection: In this part, the technicians inspect the vehicle to determine which method should be used.
  • Cleaning: Any dirt and debris in the dented area will be removed.
  • Preparation: If the PDR method is used, then the technician will access the back of the dent to push it, and if the conventional method is used, then the technician will sand down the paint of the dented area.
  • Finishing: This is the last step in this step. If the PDR method is used, then the technician will inspect the Truck in order to make the necessary adjustments. If the conventional method is used, then the technician will fill the dented area with filler and repaint the dented area.
